Japan Cable and Telecommunications Association was established in September 1980 by cable television companies as its main constituent members.
The purpose of Japan Cable and Telecommunications Association is to promote cable television ethics through mutual enlightenment and cooperation among cable television enterprises, as well as to cope with the problems common to cable television enterprises, promote sound development and popularization of cable television, and contribute to the promotion of public welfare.
