JAPAN CABLE AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATION

Japan Cable and Telecommunications Association was established in September 1980 by cable television companies as its main constituent members.

PURPOSE

The purpose of Japan Cable and Telecommunications Association is to promote Cable Television ethics through mutual enlightenment and cooperation among Cable Television enterprises, as well as to cope with the problems common to Cable Television enterprises, promote sound development and popularization of Cable Television, and contribute to the promotion of public welfare.

BUSINESS

  • Japan Cable and Telecommunications Association:
  • Fosters mutual communication among members and settlement of common problems;
  • Provides research study of the management and the development of Cable Television
  • broadcasting and telecommunication business;
  • Fosters communication and negotiation with relevant organizations about Cable Television broadcasting business;
  • Promotes Cable Television broadcasting and telecommunication business;
  • Provides education and training for those engaged in Cable Television business; and
  • Conducts other businesses necessary for attaining the purpose of the Association.

    Organizations that obtained the approval of their facilities to carry on cable television business according to the Cable Television Broadcast Law.

    Candidates for admission must make an application in a prescribed form, and pay prescribed admission fee as well as membership fee.
